What is Acomplia?

Acomplia is a prescription medication that has been clinically proven to reduce weight. It is the first drug to target factors governing the body's appetite, metabolism and energy use. However, you have to maintain a healthy diet and exercise routine along with it.

How does it work?

Rimonabant is the active ingredient in Acomplia which works by blocking specific receptors in the brain. The CB1 receptors are parts of the endocannabinoid system. This system governs the body's appetite and thus affects energy balance, glucose and lipid metabolism and body weight. Patients who purchase this medication will experience the feeling of being full quicker than normal.

Who can order this treatment?

You can order Acomplia only if you have a BMI (body mass index) above 30 or a BMI above 27 with associated risk factor(s), such as type 2 diabetes or dyslipidaemia. When you buy Acomplia, tell your doctor if you; have a history of moderate renal impairment, are aged over 75 years, have a history of epilepsy, a family history of galactose intolerance or using potent CYP3A4 inhibitors (e.g. ketoconazole, itraconazole, ritonavir, telithromycin, clarithromycin, nefazodone).

It is not advised that you use Accomplia if you have a history of severe renal impairment, history of uncontrolled serious psychiatric illness such as a major depression, history of cardiovascular event (myocardial infarction, stroke, etc.) less than 6 months ago, breastfeeding, pregnant, previously had or currently have depressive illness or suicidal feelings, taking anti-depressants or any treatment for major depressive illness and uncontrolled psychiatric illness (except depression).

What should I expect?

Your intra-abdominal fat, which most people know as the waist circumference, can be reduced by 6-7cm after the patients this treatment. Clinical research shows that it helps with stopping your cravings for nicotine. However, in the UK, as it has not been approved as an anti-smoking medication, you can buy Acomplia only for its anti-obesity benefits.
